ICE is Sweeping Up Citizens

If you work in an industry or live in an area that has a lot of immigrants, you need to start carrying your proof of citizenship with you at all times.

ICE has started sweeping up and in some cases detaining American citizens alongside legal and illegal immigrants.

It doesn't matter if you're educated. It doesn't matter if you're dressed professionally. It doesn't matter if you were born here.

People are being grabbed off the street into unmarked vans, and they are being sent to detention.

ICE facilities do not have access to medical care, and in many cases, you do not get access to an attorney. It is a sweep and detain first, ask questions never culture.

So especially if you are a roofer, electrician, construction worker, plumber, agricultural worker, or home health aide, wear clothes with pockets, and keep your ID and proof of citizenship in them at all times. If you do not have a passport, apply to get one.
